“Small Town” is a short video created for a production course in my Graduate Diploma program for Communication Studies. The assignment was for every classmate to submit a personal story that was “75% true”.

My classmate’s story “Small Town” was both funny and lighthearted as well as moving and kind of painful. Working with Bernard’s original pitch, I helped to write the script for a fairly involved video with a number of shots and even a full, live, choir which I was also working to organize. The week of pre-production our University shut down as well as much of North America in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
